Dance Shoes

  • Dance class is the most fun with shoes, Shannon recommends these, these, or these without taps. Tap shoes without the taps are also good. Of course if you have any questions don’t hesitate to message us!

General

Students should attend class with:

  • proper shoes for dance

  • the instrument

  • a recording device

  • small notebook and writing utensil or cell phones or other devices are welcome based teacher approval

Payment Policy

All payments are made online at the time of registration. Students are encouraged to take advantage of GROUP pre-paid classes and multi-class discounts for the semester to realize the best overall rates!

  • If for some reason you cannot process payment on-line and prefer a different method please contact us at Contact@PhoenixIrishArts.org

  • All private lessons should be booked for the semester and pre-paid in advance. Please contact us if you would like to arrange a different schedule and we will do our best to accommodate. Our aim is to retain every student!

  • Group Classes may be purchased 7 days in advance.

  • In the event that PSIA needs to cancel in-person classes for music or dance due to COVID developments OR other events beyond PSIA control, every effort will be made to hold classes online.  There will be no “refunds” issued for in-person classes cancelled when a replacement online class is made available.

By exception, PSIA teachers may elect to replace normal classes with a performance opportunity. And example is the IrishFest Atlanta performance in March as there is significant teacher instruction taking place during this even. These are considered learning opportunities and important for development and will NOT be considered as refundable events.

Etiquette

  • When students respect teachers and teachers respect students, it can only benefit learning! Please be respectful of each other.

  • Please be on time, this means that instruments are out of cases and tuned prior to class; for dancers - shoes should be on and ready to dance!

  • We encourage students to bring water (bottles) to class. Snacks and other food should be in keeping with the policy of the venue.

  • Cell phones are not permitted except as a recording device

  • Do not Tweet, Snapchat, post to Facebook/Instagram, etc. private events of the school without prior approval from a representative of the school - for example recordings & pictures from groups classes and private lessons are to remain private. Phoenix School of Irish Arts will post to its social media platforms, and performers are encouraged to repost/retweet, etc. these posts.
